The Design Lab is for professionals who are practicing the delivery and integration of StrengthsFinder with groups and teams. More Information About Strengths Communicator
We developed our Strengths Communicator Training to help individuals enhance their skills in order to help others understand the unique behaviors of Strengths. Strengths are understood, heard and seen. Therefore, Strengths can also be misunderstood, misperceived and misapplied.
Strengths Communicator Training teaches Strengths Professionals the disciplines of hearing, seeing and understanding the behaviors and nature of Strengths. This training focuses on the disciplines needed to conduct a 1 to 1 conversation as well as the professional delivery of that information in feedback sessions, group training, etc..
The training consists of four days of in-person training at Leadership Vision headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It will take place on June 21 – 22, 2016, and August 11-12, 2016 (8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day; lunch included). The time between the two sessions of training will be used for you to complete your “Strengths Conversations” as well as an opportunity to check-in with members of our team.
Here is what past participants have said about the training
One participant, Todd Maas, of Youth Frontiers, has said…
Talking with someone about their Strengths is not just about giving people information, but it’s the start of an incredible dynamic conversation of how people bring about success. Leadership Vision gives you knowledge of Strengths. This knowledge helps you understand, identify and to look for the nuances of the Strengths in individuals. Leadership Vision’s best gift to me was the Wisdom of how to help others discover this knowledge. I’m able to help others understand how their Strengths bring life to them and others. The Strengths Communicator training is a relational approach to keep focused on what is important: People and what they do with their Strengths.
More Information About the Design Lab Training
Strengths Professionals often struggle with how to deliver and apply the principles of StrengthsFinder. Two of the most common areas of work are with large groups and with functioning teams. Leadership Vision’s Design Lab has been created to address how to create new and innovate ways to present Strengths to groups and engage individuals within teams.
Design Lab is for Strengths professionals to work collaboratively within cohorts, to create new and innovative ways to present StrengthsFinder before groups and intentionally engage teams with StrengthsFinder.
The training consists of two days of in-person training at Leadership Vision headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It will take place on June 23- 24, 2016, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day. Lunch will be included.
The Design Lab occurs over two days. Day 1 will focus on the delivery of a StrengthsFinder presentation. Working collaboratively with other Strengths Professionals in a cohort, you will create, 2-hour, 4-hour and 6-hour group presentations. These include education, philosophy, practice and integration of StrengthsFinder applicable within an individual’s context. Day 2 will show you how to create a strategy to engage teams with StrengthsFinder, through 20-minute, 40-minute and 60-minute timeframe.
Why should you be interested in one or both of these Trainings?
Julie Anderson, of Anderson & Bischoff, Inc., a Gallup certified Strengths coach, recently completed our training. She told us,
I left feeling like I could move forward with a new enthusiasm and knowledge base, and a much more practical understanding of the possibilities for this work. Leadership Vision is generating this work every day locally and globally, and it felt like something I wanted to be part of. Seeing the possibilities modeled, suggested we could each carry out our work with our unique styles in ways that mattered.
Consider this an opportunity to invest in yourself. Since we began working with StrengthsFinder in 1999, we have learned a lot about how this work benefits individuals and teams. At the end of the day, we want to help Strengths Professionals raise the bar on creating Strengths Based Cultures.
