Do Not Focus on Being a Leader
Please, do not focus on being a leader… it’s a waste of your time.
We should not focus on leadership opportunities with a concern of ‘what’s is in it for me?’ Our time should be invested in the discovery and understanding of what is in me for all opportunities. When focused on being a leader, even in prominent leadership roles, our life is narrowly spent.
If our life is given away only in moments of leading, we suffer from a qualitative disadvantage. Because the quality of life is measured in the smaller moments of influence: In the giving of ourselves into the common moment of relational interactions.
