Learning to Embrace and Accept your Themes of Strength (Podcast)
One of the hardest topics that we talk about here a Leadership Vision is accepting our Strengths. Too often, especially the first time we read our results (or maybe when we reread them after a long absence), we don’t like the words on the page. We see too much of the negative side of the Themes of Strength, and we can’t accept, appreciate or acknowledge that this is who we are and those things are a tremendous combination of Talents!
Welcome to the next installment of the Leadership Vision Podcast, where we share our expertise in the discovery, practice, and implementation of StrengthsFinder.
Today on the show, I’m talking with Carrie Jones, the chief operating officer at Leadership Vision. In this episode, we discuss in depth a post she wrote earlier this summer called Vinegar & Oil: Embracing And Accepting Your Strengths.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
- What it means to embrace the “acidity” of your Strengths.
- How to enjoy the sweetness of your Strengths.
- How to appreciate the variety of your Strengths and the Strengths of others.
- A few tips for reflection.
