What is Your Dominant Pair of Strengths?
Welcome to the Leadership Vision Podcast, our show helping you build a positive team culture. Our consulting firm has been doing this work for the past 25 years, ensuring that leaders are mentally engaged and emotionally healthy.
Sometimes the simplest questions can bring about the most profound answers. In this episode, we revisit the idea of dominant pairs of Strengths and pose questions to our community and listeners. If you’re new to Strengths or curious about your dominant pair, use the StrengthsFinder assessment to learn more about your top five Strengths.
What are Dominant Pairs of Strengths?
Most people have two dominant Strengths in their top five StrengthsFinder results that work together. These are what we call dominant pairs. We believe Strengths never work alone, and almost always work in pairs. Understanding your dominant pair and how your other Strengths work together to support that pair are crucial to understanding your Strengths. To go deeper in your understanding of your Strengths, ask yourself the following questions:
What is Your Dominant Pair?
- What is the dominant pair of Strengths in your top five?
- How do you use that dominant pair?
How do Your Other Strengths Support the Pair?
- How do your Strengths and your dominant pair show up?
- How do your other themes of Strength support your dominant Strengths?
